The presidential election...

Subject: The presidential election... Mon Dec 24, 2007 7:31 pm

This is a topic I've spent some time on. Who will win the election? Will it be Clinton, Obama, or one of the other many Republicans whose names I forget? I think that no matter what, the winner will be a Democrat, because people are tired of Bush, a republican.However, there is much controversy over Obama being black, and him having the name Braque Hussein Obama, sorry about the spelling but I'm not going to look up how its spelled. Then some people feel that Clinton isn't one that will do much for our country, and many won't vote for her because she is a woman. I personally don't want any of them to win, and instead have some unknown candidate that actually cares about the state of our country. What do you guys think? Please, feel free to tell me what you think...

I think we should all go back to anarchy. It makes things easier than trying to elect a dud among the dudder. That and politicians are evil.

I would agree with you dude, but as we all know, if we go back to anarchy, then a tyrant will rise eventually, so there's no real point in fighting it.

Good point, except that usually anarchy is associated with burning towns and such so all the shadows will not exist because the fires will light them all. So, nonmetaphorically, people will know and people tend to tell someone what they know and they tend to tell someone else and so on and so on and so on. Make it worthwhile to tell people. Also, how can you have someone run a nation from the shadows? If somone's in the shadows trying to controll something, won't his power be completely limited unless he's known as a person?

Nah. After making the last assembly/first assembly under the crumbled/newly established empire, I will step down from any position of power synonomous with the passing of the act. After that, I guess I'll just drop outta politics since I've never really liked them to begin with.

If I had to chose a president outta the current group to be elected. id chose none of em. But if i HAD to CHOSE, I'd chose Clinton cuz I think i'm democratic cuz I dont really like McCain and outta obama and clinton, Obama's claims are merely those that everyone says but doesnt do. Clinton has a plan to do that which she's promised and that's what really matters. That and I dont like how Obama doesnt hold his hand over his heart during the pledge. That's a symbol nationwide and though legally he doesnt have to, if he's gonna be president, I think he should do it.

I'd recently heard something that since all the regular party candidates are busy arguing with each other and calling each other names, Ralph Nader seems to have a chance at it this time just cuz he's ready to start earlier and not be beaten down and sling mud at everyone.

Lol. You really think it will be that close? Or do you think the government would weigh your vote as law? Know what'd be interesting? If they put all the ballots into a hat and drew one like a raffel. Whoever was on that ballot gets the govt. position.

Or we could do what they said in holy grail. Just select someone new every week. Everyone is president of the people before we switch over....granted some people wont live long enough to do it...but it's be fun nonetheless.

They know enough about what THEY want. Elections would be only for the legislation they attempt to pass (one per term in office) and depending on the popular vote, that legislation would come to pass or not
